**Brief Description of the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, self-motivated and experienced Nurse to work as part of the Trauma Unit, dealing with orthopaedic and plastics patients.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and skilled individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to provide an effective and high-quality patient focused service, with a clear understanding of the issues in relating to trauma patients - both orthopaedic and plastics. This role includes managing patients waiting at home for surgery, and organizing theatre lists.

We cover a 7-day service.

You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient centred care; ensuring patients receive seamless care in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team across clinical, organisational and professional boundaries.

It is essential that you have a good understanding of the challenges in relation to trauma services and the skills required to support patients, families and carers following a trauma incident.

You must also be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register
- Degree or equivalent level of education or experience
- Previous post registration experience in a trauma setting (Minimum of 2 years)
- NMC recognised Mentor qualification
- Evidence of current CPD
