**Apprenticeship Job Title: Finance Apprentice**
**Apprenticeship Qualification: AAT Level 2/3**
**How does the Apprenticeship work?**
As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification.
You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as ongoing coaching and mentoring from/with your line manager.
AAT Level 2 and Level 3 (industry recognised Qualifications) are delivered on a modular basis, via fortnightly Tutor led group workshops (live, virtual 6 hour sessions) and bi-monthly exams, taken at a local accredited / approved AAT testing centre (location to be confirmed). You will also complete study, assignments and coursework, and a blend of learning and development activities, all, within the workplace, and will be given ‘Protected Time’ each week to do this - so no homework This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required. - **About the Team**:_
We’re a small team consisting of 7 long terms members, 2 of our team members also started as AAT apprentices and now manage their own areas of work.
Employers take the team for lunch once a month, organise quarterly team events such as meals, bowling and other team activities.
**About the Role**:
You will be working as a claims specialist, and will be the main point of contact for our clients, starting from the initial enquiry right the way through to the final refund and aftercare.
No previous tax or accountancy experience is required as full training will be provided.
**And Day to Day?. You will be Responsible for**:
- Reviewing and assessing claims to determine their validity.
- Preparation of claim including relevant tax calculations.
- Liaising with clients to ensure we have all the information needed.
- Monitoring the progress of the claim and liaising with HMRC to ensure a successful and prompt outcome for the client.
- Contacting existing clients for repeat claims.

- GCSE - English and Maths (Grade C or above)

Two members of our team started as AAT apprentices, so they will always be happy to help new apprentices with the course and exam preparation. Both members now manage their own areas within the business and will be training new employees.
