- This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.**Job description**:
- The Business Support Assistant position is responsible for managing administrative tasks from inside and outside the Global Operations Security Control Centre (GOSCC) at MOD Corsham.
- The role acts as lead unit Process Management Coordinator and Risk Management Coordinator and additionally, as a focal point for unit interactions between various government and industry partners. It also assists in the preparation and delivery of cyber defence presentations to military and civilian senior leaders and GOSCC visitors.
- This position sits within the Command Support team, part of the Joint Defensive Cyber Unit (JDCU), a large multi-functional team that works in a busy and exciting environment.- Our team provides a vital function in Defence and we’re growing, so now is a great time to join us and become part of our journey**Responsibilities**:
- Managing administrative tasks and returns, both internal and external to the organisation
- Act as lead unit Process Management Coordinator including:
- Processing incident requests
- Problem, demand and change requests processes
- Ensuring related procedures, work instructions, guidelines, training materials and supporting tools are up to date
- Act as lead unit Personnel Management Coordinator, assisting with all internal and external related enquiries or requests, including:
- Maintaining digital spreadsheets of employee’s qualifications, details and training requirements
- Assisting with performance management procedures
- Scheduling meetings, interviews, events and maintain agenda
- Taking minutes
- Coordinating training sessions and seminars
- Producing and submitting reports on general personnel issues, as required by MOD policies.
- Act as focal point for unit interaction between various government and industry partners. This will generally be in the form of requesting information from industry partners that deliver Cyber courses for Defence, such as types of courses, duration, cost or changes to course delivery.

- Able to prioritise, with excellent time-management ability
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with an attention to detail.
- The motivation to undertake learning and development
Location: The post will be based at MOD Corsham.
- Dependent on the ‘tasking’ and business need, there may be a requirement to travel to meetings within the UK (or potentially occasional overseas visits). This post does not offer any assistance with relocation allowances. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
- This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this).
