Grade 3 Point 20: £27,218 - £29,869 per annum (pro rata £13,609 up to £14,934)

Fixed Contract until Oct 2023 with possible extension to Oct 2024

**About the role**

Portsmouth Rape and Abuse Counselling Service delivers a wide range of projects focused on young people and adults and involves work with individuals and groups within the community. PARCS exists to facilitate awareness, create disruption, and offer support. This is to address sexual violation and domestic abuse using a trauma informed approach.

PARCS is committed to working towards an inclusive and anti-oppressive practice by challenging and disrupting personal and social narratives.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Communities team and successfully support the coordination and delivery of our We Stand Together Against Sexual Violence Project, commissioned by The Home Office as part of their Safer Streets 4 Agenda. PARCS developed and delivered the training for the pilot across Portsmouth and the IOW and will now be expanding this offer to include the local authorities of Fareham, Gosport and Havant.

Working alongside our Communities Project Coordinator you will enhance positive relationships with external services and organisations, including Hampshire Constabulary, Commissioners and community groups and support a network of trained venues.

The We Stand Together project will engage night-time economy venues to receive training to their staff on the awareness of sexual violence, The Bystander intervention model and how to respond with a trauma informed approach and signpost to further support.

This project will challenge underlying social norms that create the context for sexual violence and build local capacity to respond. Enabling more people to recognise the spectrum of sexual offences, and for women to come forward with confidence that they will be believed, and it will make a difference.

We will work closely with the trained venues to offer consultation and create a sustainability plan for the network to be able to continue their awareness and support given to staff, customers and communities. We will be working on the promotion of the We Stand Together campaign, engaging with the local authorities, independent organisations, businesses, charities and community groups and will attend events when required.

**Your Skills**

1. To work alongside the Communities Project coordinator to implement and coordinate the delivery of the We Stand Together Against Sexual Violence project.

2. Using data and feedback, you will continually develop PARCS We Stand Together training package

3. To work alongside the service manager and management team to create and offer opportunities to influence policy and practice, attend events and speak on behalf of the charity.

4. To maintain and extend the stakeholder networks that PARCS has in order to develop opportunities for training and discussion around the VAWG and other related agendas.

5. To develop, design and deliver, where possible through co-production, training packages for a variety of community settings including schools, colleges, youth work settings, and a wide range of other settings which will include training for the police and individuals who work in the night economy.

6. To understand and support the Safer Streets initiatives and ensure all KPIs and reporting requirements are adhered to.

7. To keep up to date with the national agenda and research around sexual violence and VAWG.

8. To use the PARCS Salesforce based database to record contacts and work and use this to draw off information for regular reporting to commissioners.

9. Along with the service manager to maintain and develop positive and forward looking initiatives with commissioners, always looking at opportunities to develop new and innovative ways of delivering positive outcomes.

10. To have an understanding of and comply with Family Action’s procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

11. To ensure the implementation of Family Action’s Equality & Diversity Policy and Ethical Policy in every aspect of your work and positively promote the principles of these policies amongst colleagues, service users and other members of the community.
