**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Marketing and Design Co-ordinator**

**Responsible to**:
Marketing Manager

**Job summary**:
Responsible for creatively helping to build brand awareness through both traditional marketing and media campaigns. The post holder will be required to support the Marketing Manager on driving the organisations communications and PR strategy to increase sector recognition.

**Key Tasks**

1. Lead on the development and implementation of Signature’s marketing, communication, and PR strategy to deliver effective and timely communication to key audiences. Proactively contribute to the further development of strategies using initiative and innovative thinking.

2. Lead on the creation of all visually appealing content across all marketing channels producing high quality visual content to communicate effectively to all internal and external stakeholders including media, government, customers, and partners.

3. Work with the wider marketing team to brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns.

4. Lead on the creation and recording of assessment and student support materials.

5. Responsible for the editing and quality checks of assessment and student support materials.

6. Responsible the Signature social media channels, ensuring we achieve ongoing substantial growth, delivering agreed targets.

7. Ensure the development of the website supports the marketing strategy by providing infrastructure and overseeing the Marketing Communications Graduate work on creative content.

8. Assist with the management and development of innovative digital products and services including the videos and content on the Signature Learning Hub.

9. Support the Marketing Manager to develop and build trusted relationships with local, national, and international partners to ensure our voice is heard in the sector and wider media.

10. Responsible for ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and production standards both internally and externally.

11. Responsible for monitoring and analysing monthly marketing activity, observing trends and sector media and customer buyer/engagement patterns (from various sources). Reporting with recommendations to the Marketing Manager.

12. Provide support on behalf of the organisation at events ensuring our reputation is managed and maximum exposure is achieved.

14. Carry out any other duties which may reasonably be expected of the post holder.

**Qualifications**
- GCSE English or equivalent.
- Educated to FE/A level or the ability to demonstrate equivalent standard.
- ‘A’ Level in English language or equivalent.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
- Recognised marketing, design, or media qualification.

**Experience**
- Marketing, or design experience in a small to medium organisation.
- Design experience using the range Adobe programmes.
- Video editing and best practice.
- Creative Content creation.
- Web content management systems (wordpress).
- Understanding of deaf and disability issues and the issues facing providers in the not-for-profit sector.
- Initial development of media relationships.
- Copywriting.

**Knowledge**
- Working in a competitive market.
- Working with digital software, platforms, and design packages.
- Working with a wide variety of marketing channels.
- Designing marketing collateral.
- Maintenance and amendment of websites.
- Understanding of design processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of appropriate accessibility standards for printed materials.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
- Excellent creativity and ability to devise innovative ideas and concepts for marketing campaigns.
