**About the Role**

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our Health and Safety Manager in ensuring our resort is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and overseeing our associate safety. This role will also be responsible for enforcing all Health and Safety policies across our resort, including our outlying sites and conducting investigations into any workplace accidents and incidents.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are reviewed at least annually or in line with any change in legislation, providing consultation to all appropriate associates.
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager in the day-to-day duties related to DSA, deputise for Health and Safety Manager in their absence. Conduct workplace inspections and ensure that the company is compliant with relevant regulations. Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents and enforce policies related to HSS. Raise awareness in the workplaces by influencing and engaging with Management and Associates. Planning, implementing and over-seeing company employee safety at work. Adhere to all Kohler Company rules and regulations and undertake on-site contractor control. Conduct COSHH risk assessments and maintain up to date records.
- Ensure the provision of detailed reports on all incidents to the Senior Leadership Team, where there has been a serious breach of H&S.
- Ensure the resort is fully compliant with fire regulations and legislation - updating all annual fire evacuation plans and fire risk assessments. Complete Corrective Action Plans timeously.
- Develop and deliver training to associates on matters of personal safety, crime prevention and all related topics.
- Develop, implement and audit safety programs which include lock/tagout, hazard communication, slips/trips/falls.
- Perform accident investigations and act as a liaison between associate, Senior Leadership Team, Human Resources, Global Safety Team and insurers.
- Chair and attend monthly operational Health and Safety Meetings
- Develop and implement H&S, Security and Environmental SOP’s and Processes.
- Liaise with relevant third-party agencies in respect of security during planned events and as required. Carrying out regular security assessments across our resort and advising on all aspects of security. Undertaking any relevant security duties, where required.
- Keep up to date with current trends and ensure our Senior Leadership Team are aware of any new measures or practices that may require to be implemented.
- Perform all reasonable tasks and requests that pertain to the Health & Safety /Security/Environmental/Facilities division as requested.
- Advise and implement relevant security measures and ensure the target hardening devices are functioning and maintained. Liaise with relevant agencies in respect of security during planned events and as required to meet the required standards.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- NEBOSH/Environmental qualification or equivalent essential
