**Job summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a part time administrator to join our Paediatric NeuroMuscular Service. This role is to provide integrated support enabling the improvement of our NeuroMuscular provision to children and young people at Heartlands hospital. This role will be based at Heartlands and will involve liaison with the MDTto improve service delivery, service effectiveness and child and family outcomes. This is a great opportunity for personal and professional development and to extend knowledge and skills of working with children with long term health needs.
It will involve receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries and being a point of contact for service users as well supporting service planning, scheduling and data input onto Trust and National Systems.
You will positively represent the NeuroMuscular Service needs and the rights of children and young people with long health needs; promoting equality and assisting access to NHS and other services.
**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
You will receive and deal with telephone enquiries and effectively communicate telephone messages to the team, arrange team and patient meetings and appointments as necessary and schedule a variety of virtual meetings.
You will be expected to organise your own day-to-day work tasks showing an ability to prioritise in order to achieve set timescales, attend admin and departmental meetings, and contribute to effective teamwork, ideas and communication.
Essentially you will be pivotal in the smooth running of our service.
The team is Multidisciplinary and you will have opportunities to work collaboratively as part of this integrated team including some reciprocal cover for secretarial team during annual leave and sickness absence to support service delivery.
