We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to support our warehouse operations and activities. Responsibilities include storing materials, taking deliveries, sorting items, picking and packing.

The purpose is to increase efficiency, profitability, and free up our front of house team so they can focus on delivering a quality customer experience in the store.

**Duties include**:

- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label)
- Taking deliveries
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Be able to follow detailed instructions and remain organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- This work can be physically strenuous and involves a lot of manual handling. A good state of physical health is needed.
- Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, and adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensuring all assigned duties are accomplished safely and timely.
- Perform cleaning duties and general housekeeping as required.
- The following personal interests/skills are desired:

- Be a natural problem solver with a positive attitude.
- Is flexible and can multitask.
- Enthusiasm for our cause and the ability to represent WALT favourably across Medway.
- Good verbal and listening skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organisational abilities.
- Please note this work is physically strenuous and involves a lot of manual handling. A good state of physical health is needed.

Full training and support will always be provided where required.

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour
