Income Maximisation Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised person to join our expanding operation as an Income Maximisation Adviser.
The Cost of Living increases are affecting many households making it more difficult for people to manage everyday expenditure. This vital role supports local clients to help them identify areas where they can reduce expenditure, maximise their income and gain access to other support measures that may be available to them, including charitable grants.
You will undertake Income Maximisation appointments over the phone or face-to-face, to identify the areas of support that clients need. This may include assessing client eligibility for discounts and identifying any alternative sources of income and support that may be available. You will be responsible for recording the advice and support given along with any financial outcomes. You will also support clients to provide the information and documents needed, to check details and undertake appropriate questioning in order that the best support options are identified for each client.
We are looking for somebody who is self-motivated, proactive, highly organised, and with strong attention to detail. Citizens Advice uses a formal Case Management System so you will need to be able to work to a high level of accuracy when recording information and following procedures, and in accordance with quality of advice standards.
The teams at Ipswich Citizens Advice work closely together to support clients, so the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Full training will be provided, but experience in the essential areas of the personal specification would be preferred.
