Working within the multiprofessional team, the medical team supports the educational activities of all undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and highly motivated individual to join the team to provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Lead.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to support students is essential as is the ability to demonstrate open, friendly and approachable behaviour. Organising teaching forms a large part of this role so attention to detail is essential.

To lead in all aspects of the administration that underpins the delivery of Undergraduate Medical Training. To provide a high professional standard of administrative support to the Undergraduate Lead. To support the planning and delivery of Education.

The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the provision of the following duties as determined by the Undergraduate Lead.

- To carry out the planning and administration of the annual training programme of courses in accordance with agreed standards and procedures including undergraduate and postgraduate education
- To assist in ensuring all undergraduate placements are of the quality required by Health Education England
- To organise quality assurance visits with all medical schools. Completing and monitoring associated returns, adhering with the ESNEFT Compliance regulations
- To ensure curriculum needs are met through effective timetabling and student support
- To support student induction
- To work with clinical fellows to ensure a robust educational experience
- To ensure the accurate maintenance of all education records in accordance with quality standards
- In accordance with quality assurance requirements, to produce reports of training activity as and when required.
- To ensure the prompt production of orders and agreement of invoices in accordance with the Trusts standing order procedures.
- To regularly update budget statements and produce financial reports.
- To assist with the coordination, organisation and administration of the undergraduate programme including placements, programmes of training and the implementation of national and local requirements.
- To liaise with medical schools, consultants and the wider healthcare team about placements and programmes of training and ensure this is managed effectively.
- To liaise with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate studies regarding the direction of the undergraduate programme.
- To attend external meetings as required and to feedback to the wider team.
