Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in promoting our National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) project to various communities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize community outreach initiatives with educators, disadvantaged groups, volunteers, event attendees, and hobbyists
  • Advertise and promote the NLHF project through printed materials, our website, and social media
  • Manage and distribute literature about opportunities within the project
  • Organize educational outreach days both on land and at sea
  • Promote PST through talks, seminars, and other ad-hoc opportunities
  • Collect and evaluate feedback data to continuously improve our programmes

Requirements:

  • Experience in education, administration, public engagement, and event management
  • Proficiency in team and individual working
  • Self-motivated, personable, adaptable, and flexible
  • Understanding of the charitable sector, experience in the maritime sector, and an undergraduate qualification or equivalent are desirable
