About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join our growing team delivering design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions for some of the world’s most exclusive and ultra-premium car programmes.

Our purchasing team are involved in working closely with suppliers and logistics, to support the needs of the business with supplied goods and services, on time, at the most effective pricing terms and conditions.

TECNIQ are a creative, technology-driven design, engineering, and manufacturing business.

We develop and produce vehicle body structures and interior trim for the exclusive, high-value automotive sector. We are partners on premium, low-volume programmes for luxury global automotive brands such as Mercedes-AMG, McLaren, Ford GT, Aston Martin, Pininfarina, Gordon Murray and many more on such vehicles as, amongst others, the Mercedes AMG-ONE, Pininfarina’s Battista and Aston Martin’s Valkyrie Pro.

We deliver all aspects of design, engineering, testing and manufacture from a single facility. This vertical integration represents considerable supply chain benefits to our customers and a broad working environment for our teams.

In addition, we deliver full vehicle development, including chassis and powertrain, to high net-worth heritage racers via our heritage racing division, ADP Classic Racing. We restore and rebuild high-end classic racing cars, prepare drivers, manage a programme of touring and racing, and provide full event support.

Roles and responsibilities

Based in our Witham Office
- Ensure all goods and services are procured through the TECNIQ purchase order process
- Conduct Supplier sourcing negotiations to achieve most favourable terms with regards to price, lead times, and payment terms
- Implement and maintain contracts of supply for goods and services in order to mitigate risks to disruption of the operation at TECNIQ
- Liaise with the Logistics Manager, and Production Scheduler, to plan advance orders for stock, and ensure that orders are placed with suppliers in a timely manner following the agreed order process
- Liaise with Logistics regarding deliveries and collections
- Ensure that suppliers provide order confirmations within the required timescales and that delivery information is in accordance with product requirements.
- Report potential issues with deliveries, that may cause disruption.
- Ensure that all purchase orders are passed to the warehouse team so that they are aware of future deliveries
- Maintain records of all purchase orders placed. Ensure that copies of purchase orders are available to be matched to delivery notes and invoices. Provide support to the accounts team with regards to invoice queries
- Expedite/chase deliveries before due date, to mitigate late deliveries or plan a remedial action
- Maintain database for suppliers. To include contact details, description of goods and services supplied, quality and financial approvals, performance status
- Support design change control process to ensure purchasing activities are addressed.
- Ensure that poorly performing suppliers according to the agreed criteria are reported so that corrective action can be taken where applicable
- Liaise with the quality department to ensure that quality issues are recorded correctly and are resolved with suppliers
- Understanding BOM’s and updating regularly
- Collating internal stock takes
- Processing data transfers
- Arranging shipments to suppliers and goods importation
- Purchasing and administrative support to ADP Classic Racing
- Carry out any other reasonable requests made by department heads and directors.
- Manage an Admin/Purchasing Assistant

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of purchasing and supplier management.
- Have good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Innovative approach to problem solving.
- Able to meet deadlines, working under pressure and prioritising tasks as required.
- Adaptable, confident and positive character.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Possess the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Commercial acumen.
- Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive, and helpful attitude at all times.
- Maintain the ability and maturity to give and receive feedback constructively and negotiate with colleagues harmoniously.

**Shift information**

Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 5:00pm
