The Faculty of Modern & Medieval Languages & Linguistics are seeking a part-time Outreach Coordinator (0.6FTE) to support a range of student recruitment and outreach activity designed to generate interest in the study of languages and linguistics and increase the number of high-quality applicants for our courses.

Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues in the Faculty and wider University, you will design and coordinate the delivery of events and activities which promote the Faculty and our programmes, building relationships with partner institutions in the University, academic colleagues and student ambassadors as well as with schools and school networks.

With some experience of planning and coordinating events and experience of working in an educational setting you will have well-developed communication skills, experience of using social media in a professional context and an awareness of student recruitment issues in Higher Education.

The Faculty offers a rich and lively work environment with committed academic staff, an active student body and a friendly and supportive professional services team. Beyond this, you will have the opportunity to develop links with recruitment, outreach and school liaison teams within the University and the Cambridge colleges and will be encouraged and supported to build partnerships with colleagues in other academic departments both to increase the impact of our programmes and to develop your own skills and professional network.
