An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Transplant team for a permanent PA/Booker to join our team. Applicants should have good communication and computer skills, and be able to work to deadlines. If you are enthusiastic, motivated, well organised, can multi-task with a high level of professionalism and a keen eye for detail you will be a vital addition to the Transplant Administration team.

Main duties of the job

You will play a pivotal role in providing a comprehensive Personal Assistant and Theatre Scheduling Service to our Transplant Consultants, optimising Clinic time, letters, Advice & Guidance turnaround times, Cancer and elective surgical pathways. Delivering secretarial and administrative support to the Transplant Service and all its users such as the Renal, Pancreas & Liver Transplant Coordinators, Patients, Relatives and Colleagues and booking the Liver Outreach clinics.

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria

Educated to A Level or Level 3 Business Admin/IT qualification or equivalent experience including: - English G.C.S.E. pass at G 4 or above - Maths G.S.C.E pass at Grade 4 or above.

Touch Typing Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Secretarial qualification (RSA III) or equivalent experience.Desirable criteria

IT Specialist, Health Informatics qualification or equivalent.
- Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent.Experience

Essential criteria

Experience of administrative work and working in a busy office environment.

Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks.

Working within guidelines and developing administrative processes.

Customer Service and dealing with enquiries in difficult situations.

Data entry and producing reports.

Experience of IT packages - Microsoft Office.

Secretarial and/or administrative including Diary Management, Co-ordinating and arranging meetings, Minute Taking and Developing Templates and prioritisation of workload.

Allocate and monitor work of others.

Familiarity with EPIC computer system.

Previous experience of working in the NHS.
