We're currently looking for a **Programme Manager** on a full-time permanent basis. This position offers hybrid working and can be based anywhere in the UK, with the occasional requirement to work from our Glasgow or London office.
The Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of diverse and dynamic set of projects within the Transformation Delivery portfolio. Broad experience of both business and technical programmes will be required. Must have a proven successful background delivering programme outcomes and associated benefits.
Stakeholder management and the ability to lead, direct and influence change will be critical in this role. Experience of programme start up, creation of vision, structure, business case and efficient governance would be preferable.
This is a key role in enabling ACCA's digital transformation journey.
**The Job**
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:
- Planning, and designing the programme and projects within.
- Proactively monitoring programme and project progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Defining and maintaining the programme's governance arrangements
- Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme
- Managing the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against the plan and ensuring the business case is still valid.
- Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams
- Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, including handover to either internal or 3rd party support teams
- Ensuring there is the appropriate allocation of resources and skills within the programme's individual projects
- Managing third party contributions to the programme and communications with all stakeholders
- Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects, along with risks to the programme's successful outcome
- Working with the change manager or equivalent on the transition to the new business as usual position
- Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise
- Reporting the progress of the programme and projects at regular intervals to Business Sponsors and stakeholders, Portfolio Delivery Manager and the PMO Manager
- Delivering with a cost conscious, continual improvement mindset to ensure we are challenging ourselves to deliver in the most efficient manner.
**The Person**
We're looking for someone who has:
- Enthusiasm and passion with a hands-on approach to working collaboratively across our business, IT, Transformation teams
- Excellent communication and expert presentation skills both verbally and through appropriate production of communication pack, to deliver updates in an engaging and simplistic manner.
- Extensive experience of leading large multi-stream programmes in complex, multiple stakeholders, matrix managed technology environments
- The ability to work with and challenge our stakeholders to take business goals and translate to a set of deliverable activities
- Experience in working with stakeholders to build their roadmap based on benefits focussed outcomes
- Experience in working with stakeholders and technical teams to shape and build robust business cases.
- Knowledge and expertise of shaping programmes and projects utilising a variety of delivery frameworks, methodologies and tools (including Agile)
- Strong influencing skills and ability to communicate complex technologies and processes in a clear and coherent way
- The ability to prioritise resources to ensure successful completion of projects to budget and timescale
- The ability to motivate and lead teams in changing business environments
- The ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience to ensure the correct solution is selected with a full understanding of the costs, timescales and risk involved
