We are hiring for our successful thriving client who provide facility solutions in the UK. The successful Business Development Manager will identify and follow up new business opportunities and sales leads that are mainly own-generated. They will also pitchthe company’s range of services to clients, communicating new service developments to both existing and prospective clients and maintain and develop good working relationships with new contacts. The Business Development Manager will also actively take partin presentations and tendering activities, as well as ensuring excellent communication with other departments during the mobilisation process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To meet and exceed key targets for revenue and margin performance in support of the group.

- Undertake market research to identify new business opportunities that will in turn support the group company’s overall sales objectives.
- To work alongside the Sales & Marketing Manager to develop and implement a business development strategy in line with overall company objectives.
- Ensure that both hard and soft FM services are sold with equal vigour and that the company’s full range of services are presented to potential clients at all times.
- Ensure that sufficient time is allocated within a typical working week to carry out and self-generate an agreed number of new appointments with potential clients and thereby ensure that a continuous pipeline of new opportunities is being generated.
- Conduct outbound telemarketing / cold calling as required and ensure that all required follow up is carried out in a timely and professional fashion.
- To attend self-generated and otherwise scheduled sales appointments and ensure that all sales enquiries are handled within sales guidelines, SOP’s and enquiry handling standards.
- To gain full understanding of client’s requirements and produce sales proposals accordingly.
- Ensure that all telephone calls (in and out bound) are handled in a timely and professional manner.
- Effective communication with clients throughout the mobilisation process to ensure full understanding and management of client requirements and identification of further opportunities.
- Effective communication to the Sales & Marketing Manager of opportunities identified.
- Oversee diary management for own sales appointments and ensure that available time is utilised in a productive and efficient manner.
- Ensure full understanding and maintenance of record within the existing ACT Database and/or any other Data Base that may be introduced.
- Perform business and sales administration duties necessary to the role and when requested by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
- Occasionally attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends.
- Take full responsibility for the achievement of agreed targets.
- Provide and maintain, on an ongoing basis, a record of activities, figures, forecasting and any other records, which may be required by the Sales & Marketing Manager in order to keep up to date records of sales and performance.
- To promote positive organisational culture and work in line with Company Values, Vision and Mission Statement.

**Core Competencies**:

- Educated to degree level, you will have at least 2 years’ experience within a similar function, demonstrating success in a competitive controlled environment.
- Articulate, creative and innovative with excellent communication skills
