**Senior Project Worker**

We are looking for a senior Project Worker to assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of a supported housing project for nine young people aged 18 to 25.

**Position**:Project Worker

**Location**:Aylesbury

**Salary**: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

**Contract**: Permanent

**Hours**: Flexible working (minimum 32 hours, maximum 37.5 per week) 2-week rolling rota including weekends and evenings until 10 pm

**About the role**:
You will support the Project Manager and your colleagues in providing a safe place in which vulnerable young people can live happily and thrive. To deliver a program of support to vulnerable young people aimed at preparing them for successful independentliving.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To give vulnerable young people a safe place to live and a program of housing-related support
- To assist the Project Manager in meeting key performance indicators and objectives
- To develop and maintain good relationships with external agencies and the local community
- To assist the Project Manager in ensuring that the project meets its financial targets
- Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met
- To work directly with young people to help them meet their goals
- To enable young people to articulate and achieve their ambitions and aspirations
- To support young people to acquire the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives
- To deputise for the Project Manager when required

**About you**:
We are looking for a Senior Project Worker with a positive attitude and a proactive and flexible approach to your work.

**Other key skills and experience required for the role include**:

- Experience in supporting vulnerable clients with complex issues and dealing with occasional resistance
- A positive attitude with a proactive and flexible approach to your work
- Vocational qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent or willingness to achieve this
- A strong commitment to the promotion of equality and diversity
- A good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and confidentiality
- Excellent time management, organisational, and delegation skills
- Confident to make difficult decisions as required and able to deal with tense situations calmly
- Confident lone working and working as part of a team
- Able to assess risk and ensure a safe and appropriate environment
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the benefit system
- Physically able to complete some manual work and to regularly climb stairs
- Willing to work some unsocial hours when required
