**Junior Office Administrator and Proofreader**

Gemmells are now seeking to recruit a Junior Office Administrator and Proofreader to join our financial services team based in St Albans on a full-time basis.

Gemmells is an established actuarial, investment, pensions and employee benefits business providing support and consultancy services to pension schemes and employers, as well as offering individual financial and investment management advice. **Role Overview**

As a Junior Office Administrator and Proofreader, you will be an integral part of our support team based in St Albans. Working in a smaller team environment, you will handle a variety of support tasks such as helping with client meeting preparation and carrying out routine financial procedures that require care and attention to detail as well as general office duties. You will also be responsible for checking that written client and internal documentation is finished to the highest quality possible standard.
This is a full-time role based in St Albans, with an immediate start date.

- Numerate with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Initiative-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of the English language, especially written communication
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong personal organisational and time management skills
- A personable communication style, with the ability to build rapport and positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

**Role Content**:
The role involves various responsibilities such as:

- Logging and scanning relevant post and correspondence.
- Preparing letters, mailings, and meeting packs.
- Actioning matters arising from client meetings.
- Proofreading documents checking for grammar, style, and content accuracy.
- Formatting and password protecting PDFs.
- Other tasks as and when necessary.

**Additional Responsibilities may include**:

- Updating and maintaining member databases and systems.
- Assisting with payroll and the processing of transactions.
- Minute taking and preparation.
- Product / service research.
- Preparing and submitting various annual documentation.
