Reporting to the Senior Finance and Planning Business Partner, an exciting secondment opportunity has arisen in the position of Finance and Planning Business Partner Support role, to support the cover of a period of maternity leave and subsequent backfill within the wider Finance Department. Assisting others in the Finance and Planning business partner team, this role is key in providing proactive, high quality support to budget managers across the library in ensuring sound financial management, joined up business planning and timely performance reporting. The role will also provide analysis support and work with the rest of the business partner team in particular in reviewing budget forecasts and in completing other routine financial management processes such as financial accruals and virements. The role will also support the coordination of information between the business areas and other areas of the finance department, helping to ensure knowledge share and join up on financial and business matters.

The successful person will have good analytical skills and be able to interpret complex financialand performance information. This will be coupled with strong skills in communicating with staff members at all levels of the organisation and have the capability to be proactive in supporting and influencing the stakeholders they work with. The successful person will have be full or part finance qualified, or be qualified by experience.
