**The Opportunity**
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Countering Extremism Team, part of the Community Safety and Wellbeing Service within the Communities Directorate. You will be at the heart of exciting partnership activity focused on making West Sussex a safer, stronger and more resilient place.
You will focus on delivery that gives professionals and communities the knowledge and tools to identify and take action to reduce threat, risk, vulnerability, and harm.
Alongside strong and supportive management, you will facilitate the contribution of a diverse range of partners in a range of activities and agendas, enabling links across disciplines and agencies.
Part of your role will be to work across a range of complex issues where you will determine solutions, ongoing support and consultation to colleagues and partners including preparation of website content and advising on key referral processes.

**About You**
This is a role that requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as personal resilience and professionalism when dealing with potentially sensitive, confidential, or distressing queries.
Placing the customer at the centre of what you do, you will have excellent IT skills and will be able to communicate clearly ensuring maximum audience reach via online, digital and printed materials.
You will have a good understanding of current social media trends, knowledge of minority communities and in-depth understanding of the impact of the online world on risk.
You will have keen attention to detail, be comfortable working independently and be at ease in this fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and priorities.
