**Trainee Legal Aid Administrator**
**Location: Scunthorpe**
**Contract: Full time/ Permanent**

**The Role**
Sills & Betteridge have one of the largest and most respected family, divorce and childcare law teams in Lincolnshire, Northampton and Nottinghamshire. We work across all the different areas of family law including Divorce & Finance, Domestic Abuse, Private Children, Care Proceedings, International Child Abduction.
**Duties**
The role will include but is not limited to:
- Reviewing cost limitations and scopes of funding;
- Legal aid review tasks;
- Dealing with enquiries regarding Legal Aid matters and ledgers;
- Liaising with and advising fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters;
- Liaising with and reporting to the Legal Aid Agency; and
- Other administrative duties for the costings team.
**Skills**
- are educated to GCSE levels 4-9, A to C or higher including Maths and English (equivalent qualifications accepted);
- have a positive approach to working under pressure within a busy environment;
- have the ability to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills;
- are highly IT literate;
- have strong mathematic skills; and
- have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
