A leading construction business in Central London are currently seeking a commercial lead to join their digital technology division.

Reporting to the Mace Head of IT Services, you will be responsible for all commercials within the IT space working closely with the IT senior leadership team. The role will involve establishing, and constantly improving strong commercial governance and practices across IT. A trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, working closely on all commercial matters and gaining a deep understanding of the IT cost base to support on strategic decision-making working in line with group procurement policies and processes.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Managing IT contracts to ensure obligations are known, documented, managed and reported on across IT suppliers.
- Being accountable for commercial strategies for key IT suppliers, including benchmarking and opportunity review.
- Managing definition and ownership of supplier governance forums.
- Negotiation of all new and existing IT contracts.
- Supporting the IT senior leadership team and wider business in contract renegotiations and renewals translating technical detail into business summary and validating TCO for solutions.
- Providing risk and issuing management across all IT contracts.
- Managing the IT supplier change management processes, ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place including statements of work.
- Developing and implementing supplier management framework including supplier scorecards.
- Managing the IT cost modelling to support IT senior leadership team in long term strategy and scenario planning.
- Managing the IT cost management insuring budget is managed and risks and opportunities are identified and managed.
- Developing, establishing and operating IT procurement processes ensuring policies and processes are agreed and cost and license compliance is governed and managed.
- Ensuring strong working relationship is established across the IT senior leadership team, group procurement team and commercial finance.

You’ll need to have:

- Familiarity with ICT security and industry related regulations (e.g. ISO 27001).
- Experience in employee supervision and management.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Previous experience in a commercial role supporting an IT function or similar, covering at least 2 of contract management, SRM and procurement.
