**Job Title**: Marketing Officer

**Responsible to**: General Manager

**Job Purpose**: To provide marketing support to YMCA Taunton

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Design, create content and implement projects and campaigns to achieve overall business strategy;
- Write press releases for significant news stories, fundraising events or campaigns and liaise with press to secure press coverage locally;
- Work with other staff to maintain website and social media presence by sourcing latest news, stories and events;
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of general marketing activities and targeted marketing campaigns; and
- Be committed to safeguarding principles and be willing to put the welfare of children and young people at the forefront of your work and to report concerns in accordance with YMCA Taunton’s internal referral arrangements

**Education**:
While we would welcome the knowledge gathered through relevant qualifications, we are just as interested in relevant work experience:

- Good general education including Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent ;
- Ideally supported by marketing qualifications

**Experience**:

- Strong background in marketing systems and procedures;
- Experience in creating and managing marketing and fundraising activities;
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Using digital platforms/ Social Media/CRM systems to help build and engage networks and communities; and
- Can demonstrate past experience in achieving financial targets, managing budgets and producing accurate, timely and concise reports
