We are looking for dedicated and experienced Activities Co Ordinator to join our Activities team in supporting vulnerable adults in our purpose-built care Centre in Bradford, BD3 7NJ West Yorkshire. One year experience in the health care environment is required and we will fully train you to ensure you have all the skills needed to provide the very highest standard of care and support.

As an Activities Co Ordinator you will be an integral part of the day to day lives of the people you care for, helping them with various activities which may also include supporting the care staff on the floor in assisting with personal care, social inclusion, maintaining health and well-being and, being the linchpin to their quality of life. You will design and implement all the activities in the home, thinking outside of the box to create new ideas and networking with local businesses.

Organizing activities that are tailored to the needs of individuals, and group activities to bring people together. Booking external entertainment. Organizing transport and trips out in the local community. Helping people take part in the activities. You will need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 - day rote to include bank holidays and weekends. This role gives you the chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives and no day will be the same. You will have experience in providing excellent care and support to adults who have a variety of needs such as mental health, physical disabilities, dementia, rehabilitation support and behaviours that may be challenge.

**Main responsibilities**

**Activities**
- Help Service Users to socialize within the Care Centre and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes.
- Plan and initiate monthly rolling/individual programmes, and encourage Service Users to maintain pre-existing hobbies
- Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Care Centers activities
- Accompany Service Users where possible to of site activities which may occasionally take place out of normal working hours and over night
- Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual Service Users within the Care Centre
- Assist with fund raising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings
- Maintain full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documents and assist the Key Worker to review and update Service User Care Files

**Communication**
- Discuss the aims and objectives of recreation therapy with other Staff Members
- Report any changes in Service Users physical or emotional condition to the Home Manager or Person in Charge
- Provide comfort and company on a one to one basis for Service Users who are unable to undertake any form of activity
- Participate in Staff and Service User meetings as required

**Marketing**
- Actively market the Care Centre and promote a positive personal and professional profile within the local community, ensuring the good reputation of the Care Centre at all times
- Prepare and display information leaflets and posters advertising activities and events
