We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Dispensary Coordinator to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacy assistant or pharmacy technician who wishes to gain further skills in supporting the dispensary workflow and supervision of staff. This new role will support improvements in the provision of our dispensing service and will play a key role in our improvement plans through the Outstanding Pharmacy Programme.

Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent

or

NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years continuous service in a dispensary environment as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer (or equivalent)

**Brief Description of the Role**: You will play a key role in the provision of dispensary services helping us to deliver and improve the quality of patient care.

**Key elements of the role include**:

- Work as part of the pharmacy dispensary services team in the comprehensive and efficient supply and delivery of medications.
- Organise and supervise dispensary activities including staff and workflow.
- Train and mentor senior pharmacy assistants, trainee senior pharmacy assistants and pharmacy assistants.
- Labelling and dispensing inpatient, outpatient and clinical trial prescriptions.
- Maintenance of stock, including stock taking and ordering and receipt of stock from pharmacy stores.

The post involves weekend, Bank Holiday and late night rota duties.
