This consultancy does important, strategic work that is integral to the growth of a wide range of FTSE 250 clients, spanning multiple sectors. They have a strong set of values that underpins everything they do, which include transparency, adding value andimpact, as well as integrity and passion.

The business has evolved over the past couple of years and this newly created BD Executive role will work closely with the client facing team at the firm, to provide proactive support and information for clients. The BD Executive will work with internalstakeholders to provide deep dive analysis and insight into individual businesses, sectors and relationships, as well as being actively involved in a range of horizon scanning activities and internal projects.

This BD Executive role has huge long term potential and scope as the role and the firm continue to evolve. The role has a good combination of autonomy and support and the firm will actively encourage the BD Executive to contribute ideas and run with them.This BD Executive role would be ideal for an ambitious, intellectually curious, versatile individual who wants to add tangible value and contribution to the success of their firm.

The remit of the BD Executive role includes:

- Leading the development of client, stakeholder and market insights with a focus on identifying new opportunities and developing relationships with current and prospective clients
- Supporting and driving client development plans and activities which includes researching and preparing collateral ahead of client meetings
- Coordinating and reviewing pitch content
- Providing business updates on strategic BD initiatives and coordinating firm wide contribution to these initiatives
- Managing BD projects and events to timescale and budget
- Producing reports to track the impact of BD initiatives
- At least 2 years’ business development or client management experience gained in a professional service environment
- Educated to degree or equivalent standard, in business, economics or management
- A strong interest in public affairs and impacts for business
- A drive to help businesses identify new opportunities and develop client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised and able to work to deadlines
- Proactive and flexible to adapt quickly to suit business needs
- A real passion for excellence
