Here at GXO, we are currently looking for a **Stock & Inventory Specialist** to join the team on our team in Daventry
Our Stock & Inventory Specialists manage a team of colleagues to ensure the operation runs as safely and efficiently as possible. In this role you will train staff, monitor employee performance, motivate your team, and ensure a high level of the customer service is delivered
This is a full-time, permanent position working **4 on 4 off 7am-7pm **(Can be flexible on time)
**Pay, benefits and more**
We’re looking to offer a salary of **£39,000.00**, In addition, we offer 25 annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks
**What you’ll do on a typical day**
- Undertake and manage all aspects of conduct, planned and unplanned stock checks and investigations from receipt through to point of despatch, ensuring stock integrity in line with contractual KPIs.
- Close liaison with Stock Manager to ensure all stock held on site is compliant with specifications, and tolerance levels including shrinkage.
- Taking steps to investigate short picks, requests outside the requirement from demand planning
- Support operations with the smooth flow of stock through varying storage locations to ensure most appropriate storage method is selected
**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- Previous experience within a senior Stock & Inventory role
- Excellent communication skills & has experience in leading a team
- Ability to interact & engage staff at all levels
- Able to navigate WMS (ideally JDA)
- Understanding of microsoft office including excel
