**About the role**:
The Control Performance Manager is looking for a Delay Attribution Controller to join our team based at our Railway Operating Centre at York.

As a Delay Attribution Controller, you’ll be responsible for Investigation of incidents attributed to Northern under the delay attribution process; ensuring correct attribution and disputing with Network Rail where attribution is incorrect. Part of the role will require negotiating with Network Rail for correct attribution of incidents. As well as collating information from the investigative process to back up the dispute process.

You’ll be the focal point within Northern Control for all minute-by-minute performance issues. Providing guidance to the Control team relating to performance regime matters, whilst liaising with other colleagues within the Performance and Planning team and the wider business.

**About you**:
It is important that you demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

- The ability to work shift patterns including early mornings, evening, night shifts and weekend work
- To be able to work on your own initiative and as part of the Control team
- Comprehensive geographical understanding of the Northern Network (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and sound knowledge of safety systems and practices
- A proven Resource Investigator
- An appreciation of customer requirements made by the Passenger Information During Disruption initiative
- Operational understanding of the Northern Traincrew Structure (desirable)
