You will support the Councils' Place Shaping Team in the preparation and implementation of Local and Neighbourhood Plans through the collection, interpretation and analysis of data to assess the success of the Councils' planning policies and the progress of development proposals across South Norfolk and Broadland.

What you'll be doing...

*Undertaking research and fact-finding to understand if we've met our targets for housing and employment growth to ensure future prosperity of the communities we serve
*Responsible for developing, producing, interpreting and presenting planning policy monitoring information
*Contributing to the Norfolk-wide monitoring officers' group
*Maintaining the Councils' monitoring systems for the recording of and provision of statistical data
*Updating the land availability records, including interacting with the Council's GIS planning system and producing reports on your findings.
*Undertaking site visits to record the delivery of new homes and employment buildings and the use of buildings in town centres.
*Engaging with landowners, site promoters and developers to inform the analysis of housing delivery rates across the area.

You must have...

A current UK driving license is essential. You must also be competent in the use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, as well as an eye for detail and ability to undertake numerical analysis. You should also have an ability to work well under pressure, with proven customer care skills to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and able to handle difficult customers and resolve their issues.
