**About us**:
The UCL Division of Psychiatry, located within the Faculty of Brain Sciences, is a world-renowned centre of excellence in mental health research. Our mission is to improve mental health through cutting-edge research and education. By leveraging insights from basic science, we address clinical problems with the aim of improving patient outcomes and public health. Moreover, we take pride in delivering innovative teaching that is directly relevant to clinical practice and informed by our research. We have a new opportunity to join an experienced team of investigators and peers working on a project to understand outcomes of people with intellectual disabilities on antipsychotic medication. The study is funded by the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund. You will be based at the UCL Division of Psychiatry and be part of Prof Hassiotis' research team. There are many opportunities for learning outside the specific project and you will be supported throughout with regular supervision and statistical advice as well as encouraged to join suitable divisional initiatives.. The Division has a silver Athena Swan award and is inclusive and diverse.

**About the role**:
The post-holder will undertake quantitative analysis of a project based on CPRD data analysis to quantify individual outcomes of people with intellectual disabilities who are on antipsychotic medication. The post holder will have responsibility for delivering the analyses and manuscript writing allocated to the post and for presenting the study to colleagues, other research audiences.

The post-holder will develop the project protocol, set up research group meetings and maintain minutes and draft agendas, receive supervision, develop code for analysis of data, carry out data extraction and management of dataset and carry out the analyses, supported by Prof Marston. They will also draft funder reports at appropriate intervals.

**Appointment details**:

- The post is available from May 2024 for 15 months in the first instance. It can be offered as full time, or part time at 0.8 FTE.
- This post can be offered as a grade 6B Research Assistant (£37,332 - £39,980 per annum) or a grade 7 Research Fellow (£42,099 - £49,263 per annum) inclusive of London allowance.
- This post is based 40% on-site and the post-holder can work remotely for the remaining 60% of their time.

**About you**:
The post is suitable for a pre-doctoral (Grade 6B) or postdoctoral researcher (Grade 7), trained in statistics, epidemiology, economics or equivalent, with experience of longitudinal methods. The post holder will need to have experience in quantitative research, data management and knowledge of statistical packages (R, Stata). Please further refer to the person specification and job description. Interest in teaching is encouraged and there may be opportunities to be involved in supporting modules of the MSc in Mental Health Sciences.
