Transport Coordinator/warehouse Administrator

**Job Purpose**

To utilise the available staff and resources in order to safely and efficiently meet the agreed distribution/production requirements of the sales department and the customer. To manage the movement of all materials through warehousing; production to finished goods.

**Job Accountabilities**:

- Maintain and compile departmental KPI’s
- Prepare required despatch documentation and produce vehicle loading sheets to relevant departments.
- Liaise with and assist the Senior Transport Coordinator to allocate loads cost effectively to vehicles to meet daily delivery requirements and minimise delays.
- Liaise with and assist the Senior Transport Coordinator to cost effectively arrange additional transport by approved hauliers/couriers as required.
- To work closely with production to ensure the timely movement of materials between sites.
- Assist in the month end stock checks as required by the W & T Supervisor.
- Assist in continuous cycle counting and reconciliation of stocks as required by the W & T Supervisor.
- Ensure goods received conform to documentation and follow company quality receiving inspection procedures.
- Correct identification and storage of all products within warehouse sites.
- Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information.
- To be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities, may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the position and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

**Requirements**:

- Operational knowledge of the warehouse, production processes.
- An understanding of Freight and Transport regulations.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety awareness, improvement and accident reduction.
- Able to positively asses errors and improve.
- Commercially aware.
- Quality aware - BRC/ISO and Hygiene standards and process awareness.
- Good written and verbal communicator.
- Natural problem solver.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding of computer systems.
- Financially aware - costing/variances and their effect on operational performance.
- Positive attitude and resilient nature.
- Good IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Good spoken and written English.

**Salary - £12.18 per hour**

**Hours - 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.18 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
