At Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, we are on a transformational journey, designed to improve the experience of the children and families we work with. We are investing in our services and people and putting additional resources in place to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children, young people and their families. And we want you to help us make this happen.

We have an 18 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Family Hub Co-ordinator to join our Public Health directorate at this exciting time as we launch multiple Family Hubs across the Solihull borough. The Family Hubs will offer a high quality and effective service to children, young people and families through a team of multi-agency professionals working together to support families. The aim of Solihull Family Hubs is to give children and families the best start in life through a ‘one-stop’ shop approach, enabling them to get the support and services they need, including virtual appointments and online group sessions.

This role is part of a multi-disciplinary partnership that will bring together a range of activities for families with children and young people up to 19 years old, and up to 25 for young people with additional needs. They will offer health appointments, including seeing midwives and health visitors, social activities, support for parents, help for people with special educational needs, playgroups and youth clubs, involving multiple services and professionals working together in a collaborative way.

As a Family Hub Co-ordinator you will work within a team responsible for the day to day running of the hubs ensuring they are welcoming friendly places equipped to service the needs of the families. You will be engaging with the local community, working closely with the community and voluntary sector groups.

- Experience in managing and supervising the performance of services, providing effective leadership support
- Experience of developing effective partnerships with statutory agencies and voluntary organisations
- A sound knowledge of other local services available to support families and children and experience in developing a service to meet the needs of the community

In return, you will be working within a committed and dedicated team of professionals driven to improve the service.

We also offer:

- A range of flexible working options,
- Generous annual leave entitlements with the opportunity to purchase up to 10-days additional leave per year
- A flexitime scheme with up to 24 days per year
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme - a 24 hour independent, free and confidential advice and support service
- Family and carer friendly policies
- Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
- Employee benefits including staff discounts, subsidised travel passes and Cycle 2 Work Scheme

Due to the needs of the service, this post will require a flexible approach to the working pattern and will require the need to work evenings on occasion.

Please note - previous applicants need not apply.

**Closing Date - Sunday 18th February.**

**Interview Date - Tuesday 27th February.**
