Ward Clerk

As a ward hostess you will help to enhance our patient well-being and their experience in the hospital. Working closely with other hospital staff you will be expected to deliver a great level of customer service to all patients, visitors, staff and various stakeholders.

The post holder will provide high quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support to medical and nursing staff at ward level as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to patients' pathway of care, tracking and supporting them from admission to treatment and/or discharge, ensuring the best use of resources.

The post holder will ensure high levels of patient care by being accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. Ward Clerks will display sensitivity and tact when dealing with patients and relatives, prioritising tasks with discretion to organise a varied and changing daily workload.

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.
