Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Head of Supply Chain to join our Group Procurement department on a permanent basis. The role will be based in either London, Poole or our Chertsey office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

We're looking for a strategic thinker and doer to join our team as a **Supply Chain Manager.** This role is all about planning, managing, and optimising our entire supply chain to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. You'll develop and implement strategies, oversee operations, manage supplier relationships, and drive performance improvements.
- ** Strategic Planning**:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends to keep our supply chain competitive.
- ** Operations Management**:

- Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
- Establish KPIs to track and improve supply chain performance.
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations and boost productivity.
- ** Supplier Management**:

- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms while ensuring quality and service.
- ** Inventory Control**:

- Optimize inventory levels to balance production needs, customer demand, and working capital.
- Implement systems to accurately track inventory, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess.
- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Work closely with manufacturing, sales, finance, and marketing to align supply chain activities with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- ** Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions and quality issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree not essential but desirable.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within supply chain management in a similar capacity.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable supply chain strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements governing supply chain operations.
