David Dixon Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Workshop Assistant. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles in the service department. The Workshop Assistant will undertake and assist with all aspects of the repair work, including diagnosis, planning, ordering, and performing repairs and servicing. Also undertaking collections and deliveries of customers machines as required.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Perform work specified in repair orders
- Perform work specified in work orders
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Undertake collection and deliveries of machinery
- Follow all safety guidelines and standards
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs made
- Work cooperatively with service team to complete repairs in a timely manner

**Required Skills**:

- Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Good mechanical aptitude. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose and perform repairs on machines.

**This role will be based at our Store at Powburn, Alnwick, NE66 4HU. Please make sure you can commute or are willing to relocate to this location prior to applying.**

**Salary**: From £22,464.00 per year
