Role Overview:

In this essential role, you will collaborate closely with students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, offering personalized support to help them navigate their educational journey and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to students with special educational needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Work in partnership with the classroom teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities, including training sessions and workshops designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in this field.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where your insights are valued and encouraged.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children who display challenging behaviors is essential.
  • A qualification in Special Educational Needs is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs, along with the necessary patience and resilience.
