Sales Team Lead

**Business Need / Purpose of Role**:
To manage and control the day-to-day activities of the internal sales team. Review all opportunities entering Brighouse and liaise with Area Managers for registration onto CRM and to undertake End-User detail check. Management of opportunities, from CRM management to Sales Engineer allocation, ensuring the RFQ are handled promptly and efficiently to maximise success rates and margins, in accordance with company quality procedures. Compile, Manage and Control MRO quotations for the Globe/Choke/Butterfly Valve range.
**Objectives**:
- Ensure that the MRO team provide the key interface between customers and the company and that accurate and rapid responses to queries and problems are provided and act as 'final arbiter' on solutions proposed to satisfy contract requirements.
- Carry out on-going review of MRO operational policies, standards, and procedures with the MRO UK Lead.
- Provide monthly reporting / Sales opportunities to the UK MRO Lead.
- Update and maintain the Sales relevant databases.
- NCR focal point to provide the preventative actions / opportunity for improvement for all NCR’s taken out relating to the Sales department.
- Mentor to the Technical Sales Apprentice, reviewing progress against the agreed Training Matrix.
- Check all new order work packs against the sales order checklist to ensure major points are correct prior to passing through to Contracts Dept.
- Monitor and assess the performance and training needs of staff.
- Problem identification, prioritisation, and resolution in all areas in which functional responsibility and accountability are held.
- Support all areas of Group business that are involved in MRO activities to provide an efficient service to both internal and external customers in the management of all enquiries/contracts accepted by Severn Glocon UK Valves Ltd.
- Set individual targets and goals for the team members, measuring, and monitoring their performance.
**Objectives**:
- Influence achievement of order intake targets by ensuring the members of the team are working collaboratively to put forward our most commercially competitive offerings, presented in accurate bids that are in line with customer expectations.
- Ensure proposals are based upon the company “Rules of the Road”
- Synergise Severn processes and approaches.
**Education and/or Experience**:
- A-Levels from college or sixth form high school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of pressure equipment & standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Proven background in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven background in Engineering Sales.
- Ability to cope with pressure and achievement of deadlines.
