**Bean There Coffee Shop** is a vibrant independent speciality coffee shop located at the end of the world famous **Penny Lane**. Having been trading for nearly four years we have cemented ourselves as one of the best coffee shops in the area and have a regular customer base with a wide demographic from students to retirees, mum's & babies to laptop workers as well as tourists on the Beatles trail. We are passionate about the quality of the food we serve as well as our coffee. We are proud to offer to our customers a freshly cooked and beautifully presented range of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes and eat in/takeaway options as well as homemade cakes and bakes.

We have just opened a new bakery site close to the current shop and are hiring a further baker to join the team. The person hire will be able to batch bake traybakes and tiered cakes and also add to our cake and patisserie selection.

A talented baker with a broad skill set, experienced with baking breads, cakes and pastry. Someone who is enthusiastic and has a passion for food and while ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, presentation and cleanliness are maintained. Someone with good organisational skills, and a passion for good food will love this job.

This job provides a great opportunity for an experienced baker looking for a sociable working hours.

Necessary personal skills for the role are**:Consistency, Reliability, Tidiness, high standard of cleanliness, positive attitude, creativity, detail focused**.
- You will be responsible for: _
- Baking breads, cakes and pastry alongside three other bakers.
- Utilise baking assistants to ensure that all bakes are ready in a timely manner to a high standard each day.
- Ensuring food safety, presentation and portion control standards are met.
- Ensure stock, deliveries and wastage are all checked and recorded.
- Prioritising workload to ensure prep levels are sufficient for the following shifts.
- To maintain records relating to food production activities and supplier information as required for food health and safety.
- Desired Requirements: _
- Passionate about food and drink with real desire to work and develop in this industry
- Excellent standards of cleanliness and tidiness
- Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2 certificate required
- **Catering and Hospitality NVQ Level 2** or equivalent or working towards required
