**Job Purpose**:
The Production Editor is responsible for project managing the delivery of accurate, high quality exams to schedule for print and onscreen. Managing the IB workflow process from kick-off to standardisation completion in collaboration with all stakeholders.

The focus of the role includes managing the production process including the production history in secure SharePoint platform IB Publish, and effective record management. The role requires a high level of detail and organisational skills to manage a team of stakeholders in the delivery of critical high-quality, error-free material to agreed milestones and deadlines.

**Job Duties**:

- Accurate management of costs and within agreed limits
- Through effective and collaborative communication develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the globe
- Manages IB relationships within and across departments including close liaison with Examiner Recruitment, Operations, Subject Management and Senior Managers
- Project management and multi-tasking in the development of assessments while coordinating up to 120 contractors
- Manages project team stakeholders both internal and external in ensuring key milestones and deadlines are maintained for optimised delivery of assessments to schools
- Manages reporting to a structured production plan
- Negotiating project deadlines with internal and external stakeholders
- Manages and maintains production and exception reporting through a structured process
- Responsible for meticulous proof checking of exam material to ensure high quality, error free exams
- Advise at weekly work in progress meetings to determine any risks and recommended solutions to minimise risk to assessment delivery
- Ensure that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities throughout the project timeline
- Effectively use written and oral skills in the communication required across the project teams
- Ensure effective communication principals are demonstrated and appropriately employed
- Contribute to production changes to improve efficiency of processes
- Support the process in the development of personal, operational, departmental and organizational changes
- Decide how to prioritize own workload and ensure all work is submitted within the deadline

**Job Requirements**:
**_Essential _**
- Educated to degree or equivalent level or significant hands on experience
- Proven project management experience of working within a relevant professional environment
- 2+ years (Some work experience) of production or relevant publishing experience
- Understanding of the operational needs of the global organization so that the relevant operational requirements are achieved
- The ability to communicate and interact confidently and clearly within all levels of staff, among teams across departments globally
- An excellent command of the English language in relation to the operational requirements of a publishing department
- The ability and flexibility to make decisions while working with multiple stakeholders from different cultures
- An exceptional eye for detail, such as a credential in proofreading
- The ability to be decisive when making decisions affecting the delivery of assessment publication material
- The capacity to work independently while under pressure and provide solutions to changing priorities and deadlines
- Project management and project management methodologies
- Quality management processes
- Proofing methodologies
- Advanced IT and IT troubleshooting skills
- Advanced software for MS Office and Publishing
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite software
- Knowledge of publishing and document management systems and software
- Knowledge of secure publishing production technology and techniques
