London, United Kingdom Wise Full time

**Company Description**
Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.

Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their life easier and save them money.

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission.

We’re looking for a commercially-minded, data-driven and goal-oriented Employee Relations, Compliance and Risk Lead to join our People Services team. In this multifaceted position, you will oversee the Employee Relations and HR risk and compliance stream for the People team globally.

**Your mission**:
You'll be instrumental in enhancing our People Compliance, Risk Management and Employee Relations capability at Wise—a strategic initiative to stay attuned to the organisational pulse, empower Leads, and ensure seamless scalability of our services amid our rapid growth.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the frameworks and structure for Compliance and Employee Relations at Wise. Your focus will be on fostering a fair and Wiser experience while providing essential support to Leads and People Partners by ensuring they have access to the requisite data, systems, tools, and frameworks.

You'll be leading a small team of specialists as well as working closely with a global team of People Advisors, assisting them in navigating the complexities of advisory and case management as well as people compliance and risk. Your leadership will contribute to the cultivation of a safe, inclusive workplace—an environment where employees thrive and contribute to the overall success of Wise.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the People Services team:
**Employee Relations**
- Strengthen our collaboration between People Operations and People Partners, equipping both teams with informed data insights to drive empowered stakeholder relationships.
- Support the analysis of Employee Relations trends and recommend solutions to address systemic issues, enabling the business to make sound and proactive decisions and take strategic actions where needed.
- Coach and upskill People Advisors in navigating end-to-end management of Employee Relations cases with increased complexity, sensitivity, regulation and risk and act as a point of escalation (e.g. disputes, hearings, tribunals).
- Provide important insights and sound recommendations for policy changes (local and global), ensuring key stakeholders are continually informed of legislation, law and regulation updates.
- Develop capability of Leads to independently handle a range of Employee Relations matters, developing management styles to foster positive working relationships with Wisers.

**Risk and Compliance**
- Collaborate with Wise compliance and risk teams to ensure Wise is compliant with regulations, governance, and risk management across People team activities.
- Lead a Compliance and Risk expert, supporting them in delivering operationally while holding the people team accountable for implementing necessary controls.

**About you**:

- Team leadership you feel comfortable leading, developing and optimising a team and being an evangelist of the ‘working smart’ principle.
- Employee Relations and partnering expertise in high-growth environments - no matter the challenge, you bring thought leadership and take ownership in dealing with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a scaling, global team.
- Regional / multi-site experience - you’re experienced in supporting People Partners, Leads and employees split across geographies and timezones, adapting to many different cultures and backgrounds.
- Data-focussed - with your high proficiency in data tools and visualisation, you always start with data, facts and insights to help inform your approach through storytelling to solving problems and analysing needs.

**Some extra skills that would be great**:
Financial services experience - you possess deeper insight to empower our team further with our commercial strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
**Additional Information**

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
