**About us**

V21 are a local charity with facilities across South Wales. We support life-changing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, our trainees, to realise their potential through: catering; growing; creating; learning and making initiatives. Many of these projects are social enterprises that provide training for people with learning difficulties and volunteering opportunities for others.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Work with the Technology team to enhance the development and growth of V21 Technology innovations ensuring the provision of a wide range of tech-based learning activities to include, but not limited to: multimedia (animation, video, etc); creative (graphic design); stop motion animation; social media such as TikTok etc); sensory (audio-visual experiences); typing skills; quizzes, and presentations. Work with the Marketing Team to use the work produced in the project to promote V21 and if the opportunity presents itself to make and sell products to the public.
- Co-operate with the project staff in all activities relating to trainee learning through activities, social interaction, teamwork, and engagement. Establish and maintain a secure and supportive environment ensuring understanding, consistency, and empowerment so that trainees can reach their full potential. Regularly promote learning and monitor the progression of the trainees, adapting teaching methods, materials, equipment, and delivery depending on the individual’s needs and ability.
- Empower your team (trainees, staff, volunteers alike) by making each individual feel valued and recognised for their contributions. Work with colleagues to shape the future of V21 to enable the charity to adapt to external changes, respond to opportunities, maximise income generation and remain a leader of providing training for people with learning needs.

**Essential Criteria**:
**Qualifications/Education**
- A good standard of education.
- ICT / Technology based, Social Care and or Training qualification.

**Experience**
- Experience of working with people with either a learning disability other group with complex needs.
- Experience using various ICT / Technology either professionally or personally.
- Proven experience of team work.

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of the learning, developmental and personal needs of people with learning difficulties.
- Good working knowledge of ICT equipment and its maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety within a training environment.

**Key Skills/Abilities**
- The ability to work in a sensitive and enabling manner.
- The ability to communicate with trainees, parents and carers about trainees progress.
- The ability and willingness to use social media platforms and create posts etc.
- The ability to train others and develop as a member of a committed, effective team.
- The ability to use ICT effectively in the teaching of Technology to create a stimulating learning environment.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality appropriately.
