The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator based in Hertford & Home Working. This is a permanent, part-time position with Blue Square, supporting and working closely with our client Samsung, offering a salary between £18,000 - £21,000 per annum with a company performance related bonus.

This is the perfect role if you want the opportunity to:

- Deal with payroll queries and provide resolutions whilst processing weekly employee expenses.
- Be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for around 400 members of staff

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for around 400 members of staff across 5 payrolls in the UK and Ireland on iTrent. You will be the first point of contact for all payroll queries which you will aim to resolve in a timely manner, always maintaining a high level of customer service. You will collaborate with the wider Finance function to ensure that all information is processed efficiently, accurately and to deadline. Your attention to detail will ensure that payroll errors are avoided, and the quantity of queries are reduced.

Key Responsibilities:

- Full processing of payroll for circa 400 members of staff across 5 UK and Eire payrolls
- Managing and prioritising payroll tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Dealing with payroll queries and providing resolutions
- Processing attachment of earnings, court orders, childcare vouchers
- Generate reports and provide analysis of payroll data
- Key lead with pension providers
- Deal with HMRC where required
- Processing of weekly employee expenses
- Preparation of P11d’s on an annual basis
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practice in payroll
- Assisting with the development of internal controls and procedures appropriate for business needs
- Provide assistance to the finance team as and when required.

Skill and Experience

Essential:

- Experience using payroll software, iTrent desirable
- Minimum 2 years payroll experience
- A demonstrable understanding of UK payroll legislation and regulations including statutory payments and deductions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask
- Team player with great attitude
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Capable of working independently within a team
- iTrent experience
- Experience in Ireland payroll is desirable but not essential
