**Location: Bradford/ Hybrid Working (Minimum 3 days in the office per week - Bradford)**
**Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday within a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.**
**We have an exciting opportunity for an Above Ground Triage Co-ordinator to join the Integrated Planning Central Control (IPCC) function at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?**
The role sits within the Triage function within IPCC. It is an extremely fast paced and exciting role where no day is the same. You will be part of a small knit team that will help to support achieving our goal of safely completing proactive and reactive work as efficiently as possible to ensure the longevity of our assets.
You will Triage work across all our IT systems and be a part of a team that will help to shape the future of Triage within our new SAP S4 system working closely with the Above Ground Maintenance team and many other parts of the business.
**What we do**:
Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire, we make sure that over 5.4 million people living in the region and the millions of people who visit our region each year, can rely on our services, and have clean and safe drinking water on tap and that their wastewater is taken away. But for us, it’s so much more than this.
We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire’s water, today, tomorrow 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, and play a key role in the region’s health, wellbeing, and prosperity.
New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry.
**Where you fit in**:
You will play a vital role within the team performing the new function of work validation and prioritisation for above ground maintenance assets. The team are responsible for prioritising and routing value adding work at the start of the journey when a new fault or risk is identified or where follow on work is raised and at other points to add value.
This is a key role in supporting our Above Ground Maintenance Modernisation, moving towards a more efficient, holistic and proactive approach to maintenance. Ideally you will understand clean & waste operations, health & safety standards and procedures and operational risk. It would also be advantageous to understand common faults, diagnostic questioning, and routes for resolution / repair.
Please note -There will be a technical support available to help with the above, and it is expected that your knowledge will develop rapidly during your time in the team, so don’t worry if you don’t meet all of the above requirements.
**You will -**
- Monitor and manage work requiring triage, primarily via the new SAP ECC system, and process based on priority. You will also Triage work on the SAP S4 system and support the Above Ground Maintenance programme alongside business as usual activities.
- Ensure that the information provided meets safety & quality requirements and is accurately prioritised before routing to the next step in the process. This will involve liaison with colleagues across the business including operations, logistics, procurement, MEICA delivery, technical planning, scheduling, and control.
- Based on the information provided, you’ll identify which jobs require a safe, simple plan of work and create that yourself. In addition, you will be able to identify when a job requires a detailed technical plan and route that to our Maintenance Project Engineers, seeking advice when required.
- Develop your own understanding of the waste and clean operations of Above Ground assets through on the job learning and utilising technical expertise, to make appropriate course of action decisions, and challenging and influencing stakeholders.
- Make decisions on appropriate prioritisation of work across the proactive maintenance and reactive workbasket, considering the implications of these decisions on Operational risk, potentially calling forward planned maintenance when notified of a reactive fault or risk
**What skills & qualifications you will need**:
- An understanding of clean and waste operations, operational risk, and the company performance measures. Also a good understanding of asset faults, diagnostic questioning, and potential means of repair / restoration.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
