**About the Role**

We are currently recruiting for a HR Support Administrator Apprentice for a permanent role at our Head Office Site. This role will be working alongside our HR officer to ensure the success of our HR and L&D department. You will experience a wide range of activities which will include handling day to day queries, working on a range of HR processes from recruitment through to appointment, assisting in the preparation of staff contractual documents, and inputting into a variety of systems as required.

**Apprenticeship L3 details**:
HR Support Apprenticeship L3, 18-24 months’ duration dependent on individual learner progression. You will be based at Skills Motor Coaches but will attend at college on a day release one day per week, at an evening class, or by remote learning, dependent on any restrictions in place at the time.

Maths and English GCSE passes at grade 4/C or above, or you will need to pass maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 during your apprenticeship; however a minimum expectation of Level 1 English and maths initial assessment is required.

**Key Tasks**:

- Provide administrative support to HR & training team.
- Support the HR & training team in the achievement of Skills priorities and objectives.
- Support the team in the delivery of its objectives demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude and adopting a flexible and resourceful approach.
- Allocation of training modules to staff, issuing reminders and maintaining an accurate record of staff training and professional development
- Supporting the preparation of staff recruitment materials, planning interview days, and carrying out essential pre-employment processes for new staff.
- To carry out all other duties that are in accordance with the purpose and grade of the post as may be reasonably required.
- Undertake all responsibilities with due regard to Skills policies and practices for Health and Safety & Equal Opportunities.

**Knowledge & Experience.**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn office systems and procedures.
- Experience in the production of documents and the collation and maintenance of information.

**Skills & Abilities.**
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills with an ability to manage own workload and priorities to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Able to prioritise work against competing and challenging demands to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with face-to-face and telephone enquiries in a courteous and patient manner, providing a high level of customer care.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work as part of a team and a flexible approach in order to adapt to changing work requirements.
- Ability to follow clear directions.
- Ability to produce work of a high standard with a high level of attention to detail. - A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Demonstrate a keenness to learn and take direction.
