We are recruiting for a law firm located in Bolton, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. As a part of our continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Costs Draftsman to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and compliant legal cost documentation for a diverse range of cases and clients.
- Review and analyse cost budgets, ensuring they align with regulations and client agreements.
- Collaborate closely with the legal team to understand case details and gather necessary information for cost calculations.
- Assess cost implications and provide recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Compile and submit costs to relevant authorities, courts, and clients, meeting specified deadlines.
- Negotiate costs where necessary and handle queries related to cost assessments.
- Maintain meticulous records of cost-related documents, correspondence, and updates.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulations affecting legal costs, ensuring full compliance.
- Assist in the training and guidance of junior staff members in cost drafting procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Costs Draftsman within a legal environment.
- In-depth understanding of legal cost regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in using cost drafting software and related tools.
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adept at negotiation and conflict resolution when dealing with cost assessments.
- Organised and proactive approach to work, showing initiative and adaptability.
- Legal qualifications or relevant certifications would be a plus.
