This finance leadership role owns the financial plan and execution, and the forward-looking roadmap. The role oversees financial reporting, business support, financial planning and analysis for the cluster (UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands). This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining accurate books and records, ensuring an effective internal controls environment and furthering business strategies through being an active member of the commercial leadership team. The Finance Lead is also the primary custodian for ensuring the maintenance and adherence to statutory requirements in all markets, including all applicable acts, taxes and laws impacting financial reporting or integrity.

Markets in the cluster are supported through a combination of shared services (ZFS), finance center of excellence (FP&A CoE), regional tax centers and in-market resources. The Finance Lead will be responsible for the close collaboration amongst the centers to ensure the business knowledge is maintained and appropriately reflected in key financial deliverables. The in-market resources will consist of the local Finance Teams (Finance Leads UK/IE and Nordics, Controllers, Tax, etc.).

- **Financial Acumen**: Manage process excellence and compliance governance across revenue, COGS, and OPEX financials
- **Insight & Analytics**: Help design and develop regular revenue and key performance indicators reviews, develop quarterly forecast and target, and support business reviews
- **Collaborative**: Build strong relationships with key partnerships across finance, supply chain, procurement, International CoE, and business development
- **Lead**:champion a culture centered on embracing a growth mindset, diversity and inclusion, and encouraging people to bring their best each day. Develop and retain existing talent. Identify, recruit and train local finance professionals as necessary. Conduct performance reviews, participate in talent planning, and establish development plans for direct reports in accordance with Zoetis standards, in addition to indirect reports within the CoE
- **Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting** and submission in accordance with US GAAP, local/statutory accounting standards, Zoetis policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations for the markets within the cluster
- **Ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the Operating Plan**, forecasts, monthly results and other financial submissions through close collaboration with the Centers (CoE, ZFS and Tax)
- **Drive resource optimization** through effective working capital management
- **Support and manage major change initiatives** as necessary, including business development activities, integration of new businesses, migration to new financial systems and processes and finance transformation activities as deemed necessary
- Coordinate activities between Zoetis Shared Services, Zoetis Centers of Excellence and local finance colleagues to ensure end to end process delivery. **Own the final end-to-end process delivery** at the market level for P2P, O2C, R2R and compliance.

**Education, Prior Skills and Experience**

**Education**
- University degree in finance, accounting or business administration
- Professional accounting designation is a plus

**Experience**
- +10-12 years post qualification experience
- Experience in the Animal Health industry is considered an asset
- Prior experience leading change in a dynamic and multicultural business environment
- People management experience
- Demonstrated experience in a consumer or pharma business focused on developing and driving strategy
- Experience in developing long-term, strategic growth plans

**Skills**
- Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences
- Strong analytical background with critical thinking capabilities and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of accounting, tax, treasury, controls, financial systems and processes
- Proven ability to partner, build trust, communicate with, and influence senior executives; ability to make the complex simple and influence through effective story telling
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
