ESP Utilities are seeking a Finance Manager to join our successful team. The rights candidate must be a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant and have experience of leading a team.


The ideal candidate is someone who is keen to build on their career and take it to the next level. You would need to have experience of managing people. You may only have limited experience in doing it but you would need to be comfortable doing this.


We can offer a hybrid working model of 2/3 days a week onsite in our Leatherhead office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Financial Control team (5 reports).
  • Lead the production of consolidated management accounts & reporting for all Group companies to meet internal deadlines.
  • Manage & develop Business Central accounting system, to ensure Financial Control team are maximising functionality.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and ensure the Group financial control environment is robust.
  • Assist GFC with preparation of statutory accounts & management of annual audit cycle.
  • Assist GFC liaising with external tax consultants & HMRC compliance
  • External reporting to Ofgem, Ofwat, credit rating agency and ONS.
  • Provide support to GFC as required.


Person Specification

Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant, practice trained.

At least 2/3 years PQE experience.

Technically strong (IT, excel & financial accounting)

Self- starter able to problem solve and apply initiative.

Able to manage multiple work streams concurrently.

Confident communicator, used to interacting at all levels within the business.
