Contract Monitoring Officer

The post holder is responsible for providing an overview of the contract performance in relation to the Domestic Service Contractor on the Blackpool Victoria Hospital site and when requested at other locations across Atlas’ footprint where services are provided.
The post holder will assist with the reporting arrangements between Contractor, The Trust and Atlas.
Undertaking monitoring of the Domestic Services Contract at Blackpool Victoria Hospital site and the Atlas footprint, preparing the data/paperwork for reporting the performance standard and ensuring every area is visited at the required frequency, in accordance with The NHS Cleaning Standards. The monitoring will be carried out jointly with a member of the clinical staff. The post holder will require diplomatic skills as on occasion a conflict of opinion situation will occur.
Using the data collected from the Performance Monitoring process the post holder will be responsible for inputting the data on to an excel spreadsheet, analyse the data to establish areas which consistently fail in achieving the performance standard and report any deficiencies to the Deputy Portering and Domestic Services Manager.
Provide the Performance Comparison Ratings Reports for the Ward Leads/ Senior Clinicians and Management. Maintaining liaison with all service users and reporting any difficulties or complaints the post holder feels he/she is not competent to deal with to the Deputy Portering & Domestic Services Manager.
Undertake the initial investigation of any complaint/concern received from users of the Domestic Services Contractor regarding the Standard of Service and liaise with the Contractor to achieve a satisfactory outcome. Hold monthly meetings with Domestic Services, more frequently if required.
