Personal Assistant Job Title: Personal Assistant Location: Walsall Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 We are searching for a Personal Assistant to work as part of the Partnership Management Team, working closely with its Board and academies to provide leadership within the remit of the role. The main purpose of the role is to report and support directly the CFOO, ensuring the Partnership is always compliant with its governance arrangements and company management, ensuring all administrative elements of support are efficiently carried out.

Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

- Maintain statutory registers including the registers of directors and members.
- Maintain records of past and present office holders
- Ensure that people entitled to do so can inspect company records
- Ensure that publications such as annual reports and accounts, and their dissemination, comply with the organisation’s governing document and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely production of the trustee's annual report.
- Keep under review legislative, regulatory and governance developments that might affect decision-making and provide advice to the Board.
- Manage administrators to ensure effective support for the CFOO and charity business
- Advise and assist trustees in respect of their duties and responsibilities.
- Regularly review Board and committee terms of reference and scheme of delegation to ensure clarity of responsibilities.
- Produce an annual forward plan of Board and Committee business
- Manage recruitment and induction of trustees and committee members in liaison with HR and the Director of People and Engagement.
- Provide efficient, effective, discrete, and highly professional support to the CEO & CFOO in all aspects of the role.
- Hold responsibility for effectiveness of the charity to ensure that the CEO & CFOO has adequate high-level support to achieve objectives for the charity with considered, sensitive and effective leadership.
- Take minutes of meetings held at a Partnership level.

Skills Required of the Personal Assistant:

- Sound knowledge or qualification in company and/or charity law and regulation.
- Excellent ability to develop warm and productive business relationships
- Exceedingly well organised with an eye for detail.
- Problem solver and highly resilient
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to express legal concepts in a clear, articulate, and confident manner
- Flexibility with occasional long hours
- The ability to maintain and influence a positive and “can do” approach
- Highest standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
