Position Overview

To support Head of Trustee in delivering the ISJ trustee, custody and business control activities. To support ISJ management team in the co-ordination and delivery of various fund services business projects.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Trustee & Business Control team fulfil its ongoing and ad hoc trustee obligations including the development of appropriate monitoring programmes and corporate governance procedures and mitigate its legal, regulatory and fiduciary risk exposure.
- To support development of the custodial services value proposition and growth of the business.
- To take responsibility for the maintenance of a robust business controls and outsourcing environment for ISJ to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal State Street requirements in order to manage risk.
- Produce and present reports to Senior Management team and Boards.
- Interaction with second line functions (compliance, legal and risk) as appropriate.
- To project manage various business critical periodic activities, including the process by which the financial statements of ISJ entities and fund entities are prepared and audited through co-ordination with the relevant internal accounting and external audit teams.
- Support to COO and ISJ Management by leading and delivering projects, business implementation, post implementation reviews and remediation

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
- An in depth knowledge of investment funds from both a technical and practical perspective
- Preferably a recognized professional qualification, or qualified by experience as described below
- Expectation of a minimum of five to ten years experience in an investment fund, or related, environment
- Well-developed technical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to provide a customer focused approach
- A self starter and self motivator
- Well organized and able to prioritise effectively
- Stakeholder management
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to think laterally and to problem solve
- Capable of identifying risks and developing mitigating solutions
